Ok, for those of you still confused...... let's go over it again.

Fort Worth: Big city
Dallas: HUGE city

Dallas: World City status
Fort Worth: "Small Town" status

Fort Worth: Down to earth
Dallas: Downs Fort Worth when they get the chance....

Dallas: Beautiful, dense, world-famous skyline
Fort Worth: Average, decent, Grand Canyon-sized gap skyline

Fort Worth: Old Western, Texas, Cowboy Culture
Dallas: New, Eastern-esque, false Cowboy Culture

Dallas: Hip Hop
Fort Worth: Country

Fort Worth: Walkable downtown with small town atmosphere
Dallas: Downtown with skyscrapers, skyscrapers...... and more skyscrapers

Dallas: Dart Busses, an already established and expanding Dart Rail, with possible streetcar system in talks.....
Fort Worth: T Busses with a local rail system in planning phase.

Fort Worth: Trinity River Vision = could make Fort Worth, "The Vancouver of the South".
Dallas: Trinity River Project = could make Dallas..... loose their minds since the city leadership can't seem to work with each other on anything.

Dallas: has the Cotton Bowl, Red River Shootout, and (the naming rights of) the Dallas Cowboys.
Fort Worth: has the Armed Forces Bowl and a good college football team than can't ever seem be GREAT

Fort Worth: Racing in the Texas Motor Speedway
Dallas: Racing on I-35E

one more.....

Dallas: several loopy, wide highways that go everywhere....
Fort Worth: one of the easiest highway systems in the nation. Seriously, if you get lost in Fort Worth, don't even think about goin' through Dallas.

This Dallas that you speak of, I'm not familiar with. It can't be the one in Texas because the one in Texas is nothing like that.

I am gone have to disagree even though I am a Fort Worth native those are general impression of Dallas. JJG was just mentioning some sterotypes that in reality may not be true. This thread is not about belittering or talking bad about the city of Dallas or Fort Worth.

Right.

But I think westhou was being sarcastic....

If not, this is one of those threads that isn't ment to be (100%) serious.

Besides, only the comparisons I was serious about was the skyline, the transportation, and the part about Dallas leadership.

.... I mean, really, I haven't heard anything good about Dallas City Hall in years....

By the way, those are some GREAT shots with Both cities you guys posted.

But I don't think the Ski Resort's gonna happen. I don't see too much support for it..... at least, not anytime soon.

The fact that they each received similar votes doesn't make them comparable! They are by no means on the same level. You can compare New york City with Dallas, I bet you will receive similar votes. That doesn't mean the two subjects are comparable!
