I found the newest State And Metropolitan Area Statistical Abstracts: The TOTALS are FROM 2004 and are included in the 2006 STATISTICAL ABSTRACTS.
TOTAL BANKING DEPOSITS:
TAMPA: $40.2 BILLION TOTAL BANKING DEPOSITS
PITTSBURGH: $53.3 BILLION TOTAL BANKING DEPOSITS
THESE numbers surprise me; considering Tampa's Faster growth rate....However this trend may be slowing and/or actually reversing; since Florida, as a whole, appears to be experiencing a net population loss.
Instead of Florida haters it is Florida enviers,I mean what are a lot of them doing there in the first place if it is about hatred. What did they not forsee or feel before making the move there?
Sour grapes or should I say sour oranges in this case since it is Florida.
These numbers also surprise me, from the year 2002. Data from the State And Metropolitan Area Databook. I would expect TAMPA to have a slightly higher income/earnings total; considering that it's metropolitan area is slightly larger and that most people have a perception that it is a richer city than PITTSBURGH. However the GOVERNMENT'S statistical DATA proves contrary to that popular misconception.
