Too continue this string of articles, there a nice article from yahoo news on the pending renovations of Cleveland Public Auditorium.

Cleveland Public Hall: New life for a legendary venue? - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ac_clevela/ac_clevela_ts2700 - broken link)

When national news is starting to cover Cleveland's city improvements, you know that it's only a good sign.

Some good news for downtown for everybody to check out. Tomorrow afternoon Governor Strickland will announce the winners for the Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit. One of the buildings that won is the Schofield building on East 9th and Euclid. So hopefully that project can get started because downtown needs more apartments in that East 4th, lower Euclid area. In fact, according to Crain's Cleveland, out of the 232 apartments at 668 Euclid Avenue, there are only 3 left. And these apartments haven't been on the market for very long. There was also an interesting article on the Flats East Bank, hopefully that will be able to get started soon as well. Wow,

One new skyscraper refurbished and another one to be built (Flats East Bank). It's a good week in Cleveland.

In addition, the hotel brand they are putting at the Schofield building is Kimpton Hotels: Boutique Hotels, Luxury Travel and Chef-Driven Gourmet Restaurants. This I hear is an excellent brand and will be a great downtown hotel.

Cuyahoga River edge may get cleaned up with a fulling functioning "rowing park"

Grants from Cleveland Foundation and Peter Lewis boost plans for Rivergate Park in Cleveland | cleveland.com

They are about 80% to their goal for funding and are ready to take out a loan for the rest. Bascially, this thing looks like it's going to get built.

So happy to see that the old fire station will be reused. I love that building! Due to its location, it wouldn't work for retail or commercial, but as a museum it's perfect.
