I loved Ghoulardi!! I went to school with someone whose last name was Fink...and at our last high school reunion he had changed it so his kids wouldn't have to listen to the jokes etc that he went through!!
I loved Ghoulardi's jokes about parma!! I try to explain to my kids...but they just don't get it!!!!???

Yes, and there was a Boukairs at Cedar Center too.....great sundaes! It became the Raspberry Kiss restaurant sometime in the '80s. Not sure if anything is there anymore.....

There was "The Ghoul" in Cleveland too (not sure if it was the same Ghoul as the one in Detroit). The Ghoul was after Ghoulardi's time (Ghoulardi was the early '60s, wasn't he? The Ghoul would've been the early '70s.....on Channel 61 WKBF, anyone remember that station?)

The main Corky & Lenny's at Cedar Center closed years ago. But as of 2007, the smaller one on Chagrin Blvd. was still there!

I grew up in the same area. I remember buying "Red Ball Jet" shoes at Nela Park Shoes. My favorate at Washington Drug Store was the Vanilla Phosphate. There was also a dime store, Woolworth's I think.

You grew up in Cleveland Heights? Do you know Edgehill Drive off of Overlook? In the 50's one of my aunts and uncle used to live in one of the really OLD (late 1800's early 1900's) houses. It was a big English Tudor, whose front of the house didn't face the street. It also had a stone pond towards the back. I loved that HOUSE! It was huge to me when I was 5 years old but I remember every
nook and cranny. I remember how everything looked. I especially loved Christmas there. It was very unique.
