Where I live it's always windy, but the worst is April-May.

Meanwhile Ft. Carson keeps doing artillery practice when and where it shouldn't and fires keep happening - big one by Midway causing evacuations right now, started on a range this morning. They should know better!

It's been such a pitiful dry year I forgot about posting a snow "report". We received close to 7" starting yesterday afternoon until sometime in the middle of the night. Fortunately we were in the sweet spot as Eldora reported 3". We really needed it!

A quick hitting system dodged Mesa County but is zeroing in on the passes. Am watching NBC affiliate KKCO and they are reporting a road closure on the east side of Vail Pass.

This has been the worst snow season I can remember. In fact I have not been in a "significant" storm since the 2016-2017 season almost a year now. So long I forgot what its like lol

Very warm and breezy to windy conditions will occur Saturday
afternoon ahead of an approaching Pacific storm system that will
bring significant moisture to the region Saturday evening through
Sunday. Snow levels will start off around 12,000 feet MSL through
Saturday night with snow levels lowering to around 8,000 feet MSL
in NW Colorado by Sunday morning. Significant precipitation is
possible with this moisture laden system, with potential for heavy
rain in the valleys and some higher elevation areas and
significant snowfall above 10,000 to 12,000 feet MSL. Rain on
snow is also possible which could lead to the potential for
localized flooding in some areas. Due to the warm nature of this
system, snowfall amounts and snow levels will be tricky to
predict. Regardless, significant impacts to travel are possible
Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon, especially over the
mountains due to heavy rain and/or heavy snowfall. Make sure to
check the latest forecast and updates on this developing storm.

Glad to hear of some precip finally in the area. Maybe it'll continue for the month like it's supposed to. I'd happily send you some of the wet mess we've been having in the East if you'd send me some sun.
