Interesting use of a class C building. If it works, could be good for Main as this would place people directly on Main and take a building off the market that would be hard to lease/upfit as class A space.

While this is not on Main, I read that Carolina is looking to expand the Greek Village, what land are they targeting?

The surface parking lot bounded by Blossom, Park, Devine and Lincoln, across the street from Carolina Coliseum.

After lunch at Jason's in the Vista we stopped by Paradise Ice on Main Street for some Turtle Creek coffee to go. The Saturday foot traffic on Main is getting more vibrant and should soon be equal the Vista's, especially if that Chicago company converts the Palmetto Center to private dorms.

I wonder what will eventually wind up at the old McCrory Dollar building. As big as the space is, it could be something that puts a good bit more feet on the street.

The Palms is going to have a permanent mural on its east end. I saw the muralist painting it a while a go. It's bright and colorful.

That, coupled with the migration of firms from older downtown office towers to three new buildings on Main Street, caused the occupancy rate in the central business district to drop to 75.5 percent from a high of 91.1 percent in 2003.

Today the occupancy rate in the central business district is 77.33 percent.

This is from the article on the Palmetto Center potentially becoming housing for USC Students.... So, if this happens then the CBDs occupancy rate would be in the high 80s low 90s? If so, does that mean that it would be a candidate for another potential class A office tower since in theory space would be scare?

Yes, the vacant space in the Palmetto Center (former SCANA buidling) causes the vacancy rate to be 77.33% currently.
