Anyway, yesterday I bought some new snow shoes, and decided to try them out this morning. Here's the video...CT snow, from a Texan's POV.
Thanks for sharing your nice video! I sure miss the snowstorms believe it or not (former Farmington Valley resident) Save me some of that for when I finally find a decent house rental in CT! [stuck in North Carolina] I would love to try out some snowshoes! *sigh*

But the auto-censor on this forum won't let me spell it out. But you know what it is.

He's an old purebred Border Collie, so he's a bit scraggly-looking now. He was quite a handsome dog in younger years, though. He was always very big for a BC, too.

Pretty dogs, Amy and Cambium!

What a b-e-a-utiful Labrador! She looks like my chocolate (R.I.P. big girl). Doesn't she love the snow? My Haley would go ballistic, even at the ripe old age of 15!

Too funny! But I have to agree with you on this one..Normally I love the snow and plowing with my tractor; but I spent 3.5 hrs from 4:30 this morning doing it. I'm done with that, this summer a plow is going on my truck!

Well, I'm back from work. Got out after six hours. 90% of people didn't even bother showing up, not surprised. If I didn't get a ride, I would have called out too.

We have at least a foot and a half out here, and still coming down a bit. I haven't seen anything like this since the Blizzard of 06 down in Danbury. I wouldn't be surprised if we got near two feet when this was all done. The Courant bucket out by the road is falling over, and the snow level nearly reaches it and the mailbox.

The weird thing? I'm a Montreal girl who only came to CT in 2005. Every time I complain about the cold or snow, my husband (who is from Florida) says, "WHAT??? You're from Montreal!"

For whatever reason, he thinks that I should LOVE the cold and snow. Riiiiight.

It gets old...I used to get all charged up over it, but now that I'm older (45 *creak*), i'm seeing things more my wife's way...somewhere warm when we retire!
