From what I hear you guys close a lot faster than we do down here.

Im hoping I dont have to rent but if I do it will probably be in Ellington and put my stuff in Storage.

Does anyone know about capitol gains when you go over state lines?

I would see an accountant about capital gains CB.

I would 'assume' that if the home on LI is sold this year- you will pay taxes on the profits next tax season (2008).

Yeah, because of some of the food establishments in CT that close early so one cannot as easily go out and pickup a "midnight snack" - lol!!!

I venture to say that I'm sure that it's not a problem for most areas of the state.

Where are good Asian restaurants in Vernon? I moved to Ellington 6 months ago and haven't found any good Asian restaurants nearby.


I agree with a previous poster that Butterfly in West Hartford is pretty good.

Try the Oriental Cafe in Vernon Chinese and Japanese
also The Lotus in Vernon (Vietnamese) excellent
Teahouse (Ellington) voted best in Tolland county Chinese and Vietnamese
