Doubt it. This is a contract Jay. Contracts lock rates in. Plus P&W will follow no doubt with a Tier 2 reduction next contract.

Contracts lock minimum pay rates but does not limit paying more than that. Jay

They set maxes too in most cases by Labor Grade. That is due to fact higher grade would object to lower grade making more.

Sikorsky will no doubt lower pay as prescribed. Corps measure cost savings-report it to analysts, who will kill stock if they do not achieve promised savings.

It is still a good deal vs being unemployed.

Why don't we just pray for the state's top industries instead ? Doesn't cost anything. One state is already trying it, but results aren't in yet.

This is not unusual. Different departments always have different estimates on surpluses or deficits because they are projecting future revenues and expenses to get their numbers. Different methodologies yield different results. The Republicans are protesting this for political reasons, namely the upcoming election. Not surprising either which is why it is not a big news item. The Republican's are protesting the budget because spending skyrockets and taxes increase.

And guess what? The budget keeps going up and up because of Democratic policies Jay.

How about we try the rational approach and just cut spending. Does anyone understand that no one can live beyond their means and survive?

The only people being political are those that bury their heads in the sand in the face of overwhelming evidence like the Democrats in this state.

Yep! I feel it. I'm currently in another state because our company is extremely slow in Connecticut.

Also, CT lost 5200 jobs last month.

CT needs to do something to get its spirit back up.
