To me vehicular manslaughter with flight is a homocide.
Stop and face the music with remorse? maybe not.

Any sort of manslaughter is considered homicide, so in this case, legally, it would be classified as such.

That said, Fairfield was omitted because it wasn’t murder. If we included homicides, because they include accidental, intentional, etc, we’d see almost every city and town on the list. The list provided was murders, not homicides. All murders are homicides; not all homicides are murder (in fact, most aren’t).

.....and the worst state capital in the country to live in is (drum roll please)
https://www.yahoo.com/news/best-wors...090000753.html

1. Hartford, Connecticut
"The lowest-ranking capital in the study features abysmal household income and poverty scores. Nearly 20% percent of Hartford lives below the poverty line, while 14.6% of working-age adults are unemployed. But even those working earn a median household income of only $34,000 a year."

Ironic they didn't mention the high crime but violent crime is one of the criteria.

The ask was for homocides, not murders.
A homosapien took another homosapien's life in Fairfield and fled the scene. That's a homocide in my book.

Fairfield - 1

Another Yahoo gem.
Phoenix and Honolulu fall under the worst categories too. I'll take those over Montpelier and Jefferson City any day of the week. Boise is ok. The top 3. Bismark #1
?? come on please.
Hasn't been explained here a million times already Hartford's relatively small square area of miles is not an apples-apples comparison.

The media is reporting that the murder took place in Bridgeport. The body was dumped in Oxford. That’s not an Oxford murder.
