For Libertarians he kind of was. Don't agree with many Libertarian ideas. Johnson was more a Moderate Libertarian like Sharpe.

With the Election it comes down to and don't look to discredit...Just examining the Candidates views...
We have:
Libertarian Republican/Conservative Republican
Centrist
Libertarian
Moderate Democrats
2 Other Candidates unfortunately don't know much about on their political platforms.

Gary Johnson wanted every one to be high so they wouldn't notice they were being robbed.

He's a complete joke and it says a lot about New Mexico voters since they elected him as Governor. Or maybe they just really liked getting high. Who knows ?

National legalize marijuana is a good thing. Though do believe he wanted to start out by decriminalizing it first.

From Oz's site...

MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION

OUR ADMINISTRATION WILL SUPPORT A RESPONSIBLE PATH TO LEGALIZATION.

Tax Revenue will be*spent on mental health, substance abuse programs*and education programs.*

Legalization and criminal system reform will go hand in hand.

Develop age restrictions and driving under the influence standards.

Support initiatives for research and development of medicinal marijuana.

Strengthen University programs regarding research*of medical marijuana.

Explore opportunities*and benefits of*the production of hemp for paper, fabric, plastics and construction materials.

I hate to tell you this, but we're not going to see change. Rest assured, Lamont will win, taxes will rise, more residents will flee, and he will be droning on and on about how the middle class keeps taking a hit. It won't be change so much as it will be meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Your paychecks will be getting smaller once again very soon, Connecticut. Brace yourselves.

Yep. The R's in this state made a huge mistake not electing Boughton. Just idiotic.

I actually voted for Stemmerman in the primary. I knew he'd never win but for the sake of voting for the person I believed to be most competent, that's why I did. For a state that always loves priding itself on being SO much better than much of the country, we sure are scraping the bottom of the barrel for candidates of both parties. We can point fingers at legislatures of other states and laugh and criticize them all we want, but in the end, we have no right to throw stones. Our politicians suck for other reasons, chiefly among them they put social justice and PC culture ahead of budget matters.

Well at least my town is R and will continue to be, as most towns outside of the major cities are in this state.
