Been avoiding them for years. They are overpriced and nasty with all that buttered popcorn and spilled drinks on the floor.

The noise level in theaters is mandated by contract: dolby, dolby surround, etc.
I have to wear ear plugs or even noise reduction headsets.

It is nice to see epics in theaters, though. Or period pieces set in historiy.

Hope...never been in a movie theater that broke out into a brawl. Go to the movies only several times a year. Not many movies these days are really appealling to us.

In previous years I have had to tell bands of teenagers in movie theaters to shut a few times when yacking on the phone or otherwise being disruptive, but at 39 I am a bit too old for that now. Fortunately, the movies are so crappy I won't pay ten bucks for them anyway.

I enjoy going to a really crowded movie and talking on my cell phone.

Everyone is so quiet I can hold a good conversation.

I only go two or three times when my wife finally drags me to one. The rudeness of people and loudness of the movie are the two main reasons, the third is the huge cost for two people to go.

I tend to avoid movie theatres due to the deficit, original, and interesting movies these days.

Not because the media wants me to have a panic attack about the safety movies theatres.

Hate the cinema nowadays, it has lost all the charisma from the old days. now its a rush in at a cost, to see one film and out, its not a night out anymore at all , the sweets and drinks are far too expensive , the sound is too loud and people make too much mess and noise.. signed grumpy old woman...
