On a lighter note, in the same park, a "guide" for a bunch of photo safari people was mauled to death by one of Cecil's buddies. Moral of story, don't go near lions without a GUN!

Lion kills safari guide in Zimbabwe park - CNN.com

"Quinn did everything he could to successfully protect his guests and ensure their safety," the company, Camp Hwange, said on its Facebook page.... Except carry a gun. These people don't possess a single ounce of common sense.

No. Not even close. Zimbabwe has a big game hunting industry that supports over 800,000 of it's citizens in all walks of life. Americans, as well as people from all over the world, come there to support it financially, and use the service they provide. In essence, they have a product and a service that everyone else wants, and is willing to purchase at quite a high price. End of story. How is any of this a ... "corrupting influence"?
