Wife had lupus that evolved into RA. Her auto immune system issues are as dangerous to her as the cancer side effect, Decades ago before Lupus could be diagnosed young women were dying from it.

Living has risks, managing all serious risks is what we do with the help of Great Doc. Back to topic.

One does wonder how they got it in the first place. I cannot even find toilet paper
Alert to people of a Mediterranean and African origin regarding Chloroquine!

As I posted about positive effects of Chloroquine treatment of COVID in China now I feel responsible to post an additional critically important information!

It is a bit technical article regarding contraindications of chloroquine to people with a specific genetic mutation in G6PD gene- who may not be aware of this mutation.
Please read this article by Dan J Vick MD

May explain that it might not work in Italy, but actually increases deaths if used?
Hydroxychloroquine seems safer?
Please, don’t self medicate!

They used a product for aquariums. They already had it on hand.

Possible treatment option in the Journal of Clinical Investigation

Actually, an old treatment that was, I believe, used in the past
Used in COVID in China- with success for the critical cases, but one need a specialized screening procedure of blood plasma and enough otherwise healthy people who recovered from COVID with proven high levels of antibodies- think we should reserve it for our doctors and nurses first - the rest of us should stay mostly home...for a while, if at all possible

An interesting juxtaposition of statistics out of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Each of these used a very similar approach and have been successful so far, with fairly high contact with China.

Thank you very much, Nik4me! Cannot rep you further. The link you included is very helpful. There are a lot of oblique references to pernicious side effects of chloroquine and somewhat less but still significant side effects of hydroxychloroquine but us non-medical types don't fully get them. So, it was very helpful to read that. I wish there was more straight talk about it.

Yes, “they” did tell us about a human to human transmission early on- we were just busy bashing “ evil communist dictatorship” in China and never thought it would come here- so we did not listen... ideology is killing some of us as we speak- literary!

Long term therapeutic use is very different from a short term burst.

I posted this in health and wellness- and want to post it here as there is a bit of science involved- fabric soaked in a salt solution and dried would render the virus non- viable.
It is easy to make this mask too...

The WHO devised a face mask a while back for poor countries- so I am a bit embarrassed to post this photo - the mask was done using Hanes T-shirt fabric.
The critical part- that extra fabric folded as a roll around you nose and upper cheeks - you can convert metric into US measures on the internet.

Pay attention to the 8 layer patch in a crisscrossed warp and weft pattern in the middle- which covers the nose and the mouth- you can possibly improve the mask by soaking a couple of layers out of 8 required in a solution of salt and water and let it dry out before placing

There was research done that the virus landing on salt- would moisten it imperceptibly - and the salt forms crystals and tears the virus apart making it unviable.
You could boil it and re- use it- the bleach may weaken the fibers- boiling is better?
Sorry, the CD would not let me cross- post this photo with the instructions- says that it is already posted- look it up in the health and wellness thread if you are interested under
“CoViD@ Homemade mask” thread
