Rich Iott, the Republican nominee challenging Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D) in Ohio's Ninth District, has an unusual hobby: He likes to pretend he's a Nazi. Iott, a tea party-backed candidate, spent time fighting another battle before he hit the campaign trail against Kaptur as a member of the 5th SS Wiking Panzer Division, a group of Ohio World War II reenactors. According to their website, the Wikings strive to "salute" the "idealists" from occupied northern Europe who saw the Third Reich as "the protector of personal freedom and their very way of life" and signed up to fight for the Wermacht and "gave their lives for their loved ones and a basic desire to be free."
Only on weekends? I guess during the week they just talk the talk, weekends they walk the walk.
Listen to this guy. He sounds like he actually admires the Nazis..
"I've always been fascinated by the fact that here was a relatively small country that from a strictly military point of view accomplished incredible things. I mean, they took over most of Europe and Russia, and it really took the combined effort of the free world to defeat them. From a purely historical military point of view, that's incredible."

I remember learning in grammar school, as school children we were taught to beware of propaganda, that yes, fascism too can happen in America. I never forgot what I was taught as a child of the '60's. My Dad learned it from school of life, he was witness to FDR reaction to Great Depression, and Hitler reaction to it. Dad prefers FDR's solutions
Bascailly the Op things that people are fools that take propoganda as serious news. If one had his view point then we are still i the miidle of the civil war with all the reenactments and need to provide real bullets.Makes one wander if the Op is a realtive of Mccarthy really.

OP posts photo with candidate in Nazi outfit. Do you have an actual rebuttal, or are you suggesting Tea Partier participates in "Nazi reenactment" for no reason ?

Maybe he just sees things more objectively than you do.
