Was he trying to pitch his 6-9 plan again?

I apologize.

The House DID impeach him. The Senate did not.
Umm, he was impeached. To be impeached, means he was CHARGED. Because he wasn't found guilty in the senate doesn't abrogate the fact he was impeached.

Additionally, he admitted to misleading testimony, which would be why was required to surrender his law license.

So what. Anyone can accuse, but they must prove it to be true. Seems like this happened to another black conservative man in the past.
Yes, anyone can accuse.
What makes me wonder, however, is how many people willingly pay someone, well, two someones, to settle out of court as a result of those accusations?

Oy, at least it was two women and not a crackhead homosexual and a campaign staffer... Oh wait, that was Obama. Whatever happened to those accusations?

Tons. Probably most with money even if nothing occurred. You could easily rack up a huge bill with lawyers fees. That's what most scumbags who go around suing people for fun and money are counting on.

This is sexual harassment? Seems to me like someone looking for an easy 10-grand.

Quote:
Van Susteren asked what Cain did that led to the accusation. There were reportedly more than one accusations in the complaint, but Cain said he recalled just one incident. "She was in my office one day, and I made a gesture saying -- and I was standing close to her -- and I made a gesture saying you are the same height as my wife. And I brought my hand up to my chin saying, 'My wife comes up to my chin.'" At that point, Cain gestured with his flattened palm near his chin. "And that was put in there [the complaint] as something that made her uncomfortable," Cain said, "something that was in the sexual harassment charge."

I've watched all the news coverage of this story. I can't recall anyone asking - why this story now. Why not 3 or 4 months ago when Cain announced his candidicy. Why didn't they wait until the day before the Iowa caucus.

Because that part of the political chicago-hackery is so obvious. It reeks of Alinsky's ends and means and all that. It was talked about on Geraldo last night (for 2.3 seconds).

Happens everyday.
1. Its often cheaper than it is to prove innocence.
2. Less publicity
It boils down to what costs less.
Your logic.
Why would someone who genuinely felt wrong sell out for a few bucks? Why wouldn't they push it and make sure the violator was both exposed and punished?
