We can't all dwell in that shining city on the hill, it is a gated community for the rich, for us the GOPs Camino de Manana is a dirt road that leads to a trailer park

he said he wasn't concerned about the rich either, yet he wants a massive tax break for he and his fellow 1% 'ers... That would save him over $4,000,000

Sounds like he has the middle class at heart.... at the heart of funding his tax breaks!

Thanks for posting that.

I haven't seen much discussion about the tax breaks he wants for the 1% - maybe I've just missed it.

Maybe the 1% need those tax breaks because they're such awesome "job creators."

I wonder how many jobs Mittens has been "creating" with all his gazillions tucked away in the Swiss banks and banks in the Cayman Islands.

Food stamps is a safety net? That tells you how out of touch the man is.

The question is: Will they decry this type of journalism? Or will they remain mum?

This is politics and I think it's disgusting. But it happens to both the right and the left. No apologies because that's just the way it is these days.

And yet no matter how loud or often the liberals chant this mantra, Americans continue to earn the highest average salary on the planet.

Man, those facts are stubborn things aren't they?

I think it is disgusting that it has become the government's duty to drag the poor out of the gutter instead of them getting up and mustering some ambition to do it themselves.

Too many years of handouts simply created dependents out of the lazy.

Romney says ‘poor’ comment needs context – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

Romney expressed a valid point...we have a great many safety nets for the very poor...Medicaid, Section 8, Food Stamps, School Lunch program, WIC, etc, etc. He addresses the issue that many, including many here, express concern over. Specifically the vast majority of people that work for a living and are squeezed by expenses, ect, who make too much to get something from the government.

Yet many in the media and on the left (and the less bright of his GOP competition) seize on the "not concerned about the very poor" comment and take it out of context. How weak-minded are these people? Are they unable to comprehend anything beyond one sentence sound bites? Are they unable to comprehend a simple sentence and context?

This has been on NPR for the last two days, as well as other media sources. Get a frickin' life and learn to read, people, you look like idiots.

BTW, I'm NOT a Romney supporter.
Let us not forget that Mitt Romney is also an animal abuser. He even justified his actions!

So Romney's Republican challenger, Gingrich, is doing it, too.
