How does Michelle Obama know what it's like to be a single Mom? She's not one, and she came from an intact family? She grew up in gifted and talented programs, magnet schools, went to Princeton and vacationed in Michigan. What makes her any more credible? Is is really an expectation that anyone in politics understands the struggle of each of 340 million people and is that necessary to make good decisions that bring jobs and improve the economy?
I guess you missed the interview where she stated they DID NOT have domestic help and that while she was ill, Mitt did the shopping and cooking.
Having money doesn't mean you have no problems in life. Having money means you have one less problem but often times many more problems to deal with.
Did you hear the part of her speech where she said Mitt had created a foundation that pays 100% tuition for students in the top 25%? The only advantage Romney had over some other people was that he didn't have to pay for his education. So he created a foundation that GAVE that same advantage to the top 25% of graduates. Everything else, he did on his own. So I guess even though he's rich, he wants to see others reach those same goals. Guess that's a bad thing, huh?
It's really sick to see the jealousy displayed by some for someone that is rich but also very generous. He is helping Americans. People like Oprah forget about the US and take their money to Africa or other countries to help their citizens. More money leaving the country.
That was TAXPAYER money, and it was given out on a NON-NEED basis.

Yes Ann, and those women who don't have a choice are just as thrilled as you are. Living on a shoe string, hoping that they cover the rent, can put food on the table, pay the bills, clothe their children. I'm sure you know how life isn't easy when it comes to that kind of situation.
Yes Ann, those are all the things that women who don't have a choice do while holding down a job. I'm sure you know what it's like to scrape the bottom of your handbag looking for change, have a zero balance in your checkbook or maxed our your credit card because you had to put food on the table or the kids needed shoes. I'm sure your had sleepness nights wondering if you were going to get through the next month to keep the roof over your familly's head. They may have some help at home - a husband who is unemployed and struggling to look for a job. Would that be her domestic help?
Yes Ann, you aren't any different from those single parent women. One can only imagine the struggles you have gone through, especially having domestic help, and will continue to go through.
She is a winner who made it. Why complain because some work hard and make it?

The millionaire governor was a self made man who was an emigrant who never graduated college. He made it on his own, as did his children.
Mitt inherited $250 K from the old man, and promptly donated the entire amount to charity. He made every penny he has, on his own.

There are many women who have a choice to (1) slack off and live off the taxpayers back or (2) work and STRUGGLE. There are more women who chose to work and struggle than those who chose not to.
Most people who are rich today are rich because their families were rich. When you start off on third base, it's not that difficult to hit a home run.
That is true, but do not confuse those who are rich "in power" versus folks who became rich because of
something they have done in life by themselves.
Ann Romney mentioned she is the granddaughter of a coal miner... well, so was Loretta Lynn and I believe
Lynn is "Rich" now, but not born rich.

way it is for a lot of folks - there are those around us, who are products of son of ******* and STILL make something of themselves, in SPITE of the folks around them.....
When she has raised five boys while fighting breast cancer whose husband left her AND has to hold down a job to feed the family, she can understand. Otherwise, she is only pretending. Ann's idea of a hectic schedule is having a tennis lesson, nails done, and massage all in one afternoon.
No envy, just resent her pretending to have it hard like the majority of mothers.
How DARE you. So, you've decided that it's not enough to raise 5 boys? Her husband had to leave her for her to be "real"? Why 5 boys? Why not 7? If you only have 5, you're not "real". Why breast cancer? Why not ovarian cancer? If you only have breast cancer, you're not "real".
