Why is such a policy terrible?

Well, two generations ago graduating high school was an accomplishment that would see most people employed for their entire lives. High school, and even grade school, was much more difficult than it is now. Standards were higher and less people graduating meant that the qualification had more value.

When high school became free and a mandate was given that everyone should graduate, the standards predictably declined and the average liberal arts college degree became valued at roughly what high school diplomas were in the past. That is, attaining one is what conveyed minimal competency for most jobs that offered a modicum of a liveable wage.
What are you talking about? We've had " free" public high schools since the 17th century.

a tax break by it's very definition means you're getting help. Billionaire's don't need financial help.

I just love the hypocrites who are against welfare and helping the poor but billionaires and corporate welfare?? No problem!!

Let's see here, you have one group of people who are paying nothing into the system and receiving compensation and another group that is paying lots in after receiving a discount of what they pay in.

You really don't see the difference?

Then lower the rate and get rid of deductions.

I'm sure you use all your deductions. Why do you take money away from the poor by claiming deductions?

I think there needs to be advertisement for the trades industry and maybe the IT industry (although it is starting to get saturated.) Electricians, and Welding are two industries that are in demand.

Reaching into my wallet and taking my money and giving it to someone else is not "HELP", it is theft.

When someone says free, and young people and poor people vote, this is the progressive leftist socialist agenda at its best.
ALL System the exclusively rely on other peoples money for PERSONAL gain will always go bankrupt. Esp when that money is taken via a tax or force.

It will just take enough time that all functions of government out way the results and in the end the economic effects destory the reason the economy GROWS.

Example, no matter how much you bring in taxes, economic conditions do not change.

They are actually the exact same thing, tax breaks.

It isn't even an anology.

You really should be the change you wish to see in the world.
