They are in nursing homes because they can't even take care of themselves any longer for basic things like walking and eating and going to the bathroom and showering.

So what do you do with a 94 year old that's in a nursing home and already spent her $350k nest egg on nursing home care for the past several years. Do you kick her out because you want a time limit for Medicaid?

Medicaid is the primary payer for over 60% of all nursing home residents in the USA.
Moreover, many middle-class (and above) seniors intentionally transfer their assets to family to qualify for Medicaid to get a free ride at a nursing home or assisted living facility. That's a well known fact. I guess Republicans are cool with that kind of welfare fraud.

You've got to be kidding me.

Many of those who avail themselves of the multitude of programs, thanks to the largesse of American taxpayers, have no idea what it is to be truly poor. What it's not?...250-buck sneakers, big-screen TVs, premium cable/satellite TV, and state-of-the-art smart phones.

The poor in this country would be considered rich in others.

And then they get to hear you stereotype it.......of course, stereotypes are usually rooted in simple truths....

Well, you sure hit every rightwing stereotype. Congratulations. But what you have proven by rattling off your conservative talking points is that it's obvious you know no one who is poor and struggling. I do know people who are poor, and it may blow your mind to know they don't have big screen TVs or premium cable service, and they buy their clothes at thrift shops. And when it gets close to the end of the month they eat a lot of macaroni and beans because they're cheap.

But please, by all means, remain ignorant. You are a right winger. No one expects anything more from you.

It's very very common. It's called Medicaid Spend Down. There are attorneys all across the USA that help people with estate planning so they can pass their assets to their heirs ahead of time so they qualify for free nursing home care via Medicaid (without having to spend their own money on the nursing home).

There are just no mouthpieces like Al Sharpton for poor whites.

And you don't know about middle class and upper class black people or poor whites because the TV news cameras and big shot reporters wet their pants when they think they might have to report from the suburbs or rural areas.

Just watch hurricane coverage if a hurricane hits land in Palookaville. The news reporter would rather stand in a puddle in some big city and count raindrops than go 20 miles up the road to suburbia where there is real damage. My favorite was a certain long time reporter who reported that it was getting windy on the upper west side of Manhattan (oooooh! ) during a previous storm and behind him you could see all of the people out on the street like any other day. Meanwhile, there was real damage done further down the coast in less populated areas but only one reporter there to cover it because she just happened to be on vacation when the storm hit.

Here's where you go wrong. The GOP has never said that these negative things describe the majority of each of these groups but leave it to people like you to pretend that is what they mean. You cannot deny the facts that some or even many of the people in those groups are as described. Since when is the truth offensive?

Oh, please share with us what is offensive about Trump to women. As for Hispanics they want amnesty for their illegal amigos and expect a candidate to thumb their noses at our immigration laws for them. Does that make any sense? Are they special?

Default Jeb Bush says Dems lure black voters with 'free stuff'

And the GOP lures corporate support by awarding fat contracts and writing special tax exemptions into the code.
