Trump was the wrong man saying some of the right things. Political correctness has feminized and emasculated both the country and debate. But Trump was and is a deeply flawed messenger. I don't think he's personally bigoted but he was appealing to a deep vein of racism and sexism in the country. A leader must appeal to what's good in the country, not to what's appalling.

I don't think that will happen this year, even with the video released on Friday. Possibly in 2020, but definitely in 2024. I think Georgia will go first and then Texas.
Remember, the GOP's core base of older, less well educated Whites declines by about 3% with every presidential election.
