Russia seems hypnotized by the West and motivated to be included as a part of the West. This desire for acceptance plays into Washington's hands. Russia does not need the West, but Europe needs Russia. One option for Russia is to tend to Russian interests and wait for Europe to come courting.

Really, this is Obama's fault?

Smerch shell did not explode in the building. Ukrainian army uses heavy multiple rocket launchers in the city.

The length of shell in the building more than a dozen feet.

This article is not Russian website. Personally, I think that Obama's policy is wrong. U.S. and Russia should be friends. But the U.S. is pushing Russia towards China. Russia can make friends with China, we live near Asia for centuries. But it will be a big mistake.

The shell is not in the building Maksim it is outside of the building! And saying the shell came from Ukrainian army is ridiculous when there is no proof that it did. That could be a separatist shell, after all recent events have proved that the rebels really don't care who they murder and that includes innocent people on a foreign airliner.

It's funny, because it's still a Russian fairy tale that the coup was organised by the Americans, but it's a fact that Russia annexed Crimea, sent their advisors to Eastern Ukraine and they are SO close to prove that Russia sent the missiles with which they shot down the plane.

Quite frankly, the west's reaction is quite calm when considering all of this.

With the third minute. Huge pipe in the building - it's unexploded shell (or tail portion). Who shot really unclear. Everyone believes in what he wants to believe.

Not saying that they didn't make use of the situation after it began. But they didn't start it.

Russia OTOH proactively invaded the country and installed some Russian-led puppet rebel group in the East that shot down a civil airplane with Weapons they received from Russia. By any means, Russia is basically isolating itself. And that quite successfully.

I doubt it. Western media had a very strong support to revolutionaries, especially CNN. Although Ukrainians did not have much need for a coup, Yanukovych has announced early elections.

This is speculation. Russia did not invade a foreign country. I do not know who shot down the plane. It could be anyone. There is no unity among the rebels. Many groups operate independently. Professionals can easily make a provocation.

I can't believe you still deny what Russia did on Crimea. Even Putin admitted that Russian soldiers operated on Crimea before the referendum.
As to the missiles: No, it can't be anyone. It's someone who has Buks and doesn't know how to operate them. Considering that some Buks first moved from Russia to Ukraine and after the shootdown from Ukraine to Russia, I think it's fairly clear what happened: Russia fucked up. Again.
