And by the way, there is a very simple way to distinguish terrorists from rebels. Terrorists take over schools and kill children (see Chechnya). Rebels are fighting with army (see Ukraine).

A red tide can do that and it happens all the time. A natural occurance.

It's a mistake to let environmental groups into it. They'll go completely nuts. Blame it on everything from Putin washing his hands to aliens doing experiments.
Red, green tides is something that qualifies for carbon credits. Algae blooms, just by themselves, can fix Earth's carbon problem. They dump iron in the ocean to fertilize algae.

The situation is not out of control. It's a stalemate. Why should Russia do more?

The drone part is interesting. The whole post otherwise is just typical garbage.

Why would Putin want to control his backyard. His presidency thrives on Russia being surrounded by instabilities and conflict.

But for now, he has bigger things to deal with like this 2nd wave of the virus. Not a good look to have morgues in Siberia overflowing.

How about refrigerated trucks morgues in New York? Are they still standing or have they already been removed?

What, he is suppose to control it? The US cannot control its own backyard either, and went through great lengths for decades trying to.

Instability is not a desire of Putin, anyone who knows the slightest thing about him knows this. Instability is a weakness as the Russian gov thrives on being able to control matters, one of its sources of power is relaying to its population that it has the ability to maintain control, thus trust in the gov and leadership.

What exactly should Putin do? More than 2 million Armenians and almost 2 million Azeris live in Russia. Whom should Putin support? Or should he send troops to Karabakh and receive sanctions and a wave of negativity, as in 2008 in Georgia?

Who said Putin needs to do anything? He perhaps should stay out of it, it is a conflict between those two parties.

Every little conflict in the world does not need some global or regional power getting their nose in it.

As for Georgia, well, Georgia attacked Russian troops first, so quite a bit different scenario.

The best thing Russia could do is what my mom did when me and my brother were fighting over a toy. She took it away.

Take over the disputed region and in doing so blast any Azeri or Armenian that opposes them. On top of that stop selling weapons to either of them.

Yeah right I know. A fantasy. It's conflict either way you go and a widening one at that.

Russia needs to just let them go at it until mutual exhaustion sets in. War costs money even if you're wealthy sooner or later it will start to hurt. There's no good solution.

This is something to look at too.

Take away some toys at least.
