I think personally that Finland and Ireland can both be an example of how to build a strong and effective economy.
Finland compared to Greece is like a galaxy far far away in almost all aspects of economy and diplomacy.
Poverty ridden nothing producing hole? Only because of years of austerity. Greece's latest government wanted an exit from the eurozone but the option would have been too harsh with no safety net not only for Greece but more importantly the rest of Europe itself! Yes, the Finns are in a galaxy far away in the sense they are far away from reality down here on earth LOL!

Their latest hard line stance against Greece was nothing but cocky with a strong dose of superiotiy complex! Slovakia was right there with them

Why would Finland have any kind of inferiority complex towards Greece? Don't get it.

sorry meant superiority so I changed it. Finland was a nothing for a long time and now that they have some voice in Europe they think they are hot stuff just like ex soviet countries. That is not to say they are superior but they think they are anyway

The are numerous products made in Greece. If not made there now, its because they moved to the Balkans for a better tax structure.

also.

per wikipedia:
"The Greek Merchant Navy controls 16.2% of the world's total merchant fleet, making it the largest in the world. Greece is ranked in the top 5 for all kinds of ships, including first for tankers and bulk carriers."

As individuals and group, Finnish people are morally superior to Greeks. Greeks think they don't have to work as they are the craddle of European civilisation (actually are not) and they have to be paid for this, while they stay on beach or at tavern all day long. Also, Greece has no merit for its early civilisation. It was just that was close to Fertile Crescent, Judea, Summer, Egypt and got influenced by them.

your views are totally wrong and consistently anti-greek and I am not about to get into it again with you.

Here's an article from a much respected newspaper:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/m...mans-who-knew/

"The Paris-based organization found that Greece’s maligned workforce put in 2,034 hours on average in 2012, more than any of the 34 countries surveyed. Industrious Northern Europeans, on the other hand, were not so, well, industrious. Germans put in 1,397 and the Swiss, 1,619 hours — both below the OECD average of 1,765."

So you are saying that Finland is ex-soviet country
I have always knew that there is lot of peoples in US who dont know anything about history.

I give you country what was great friend of Stalin:
USA
US gave lot of weapons to SU and they used these weapons against Finland...But with very very poor succes.

In Finland no one thinks that we are "Hot Stuff" but every finn thinks that what ever contract is done, every one should follow it.
Sure I can understand that this is something what you can not understand because US citizens are like russians, doing something else than saying to do.
Cant trust.

Didn't say that Finland was ex-soviet.

Here's another source from BBC news with facts on the greek workforce for the unbelievers:

Maybe you can give some examples, concerning these numerous products?

What comes to merchant navy, why these companies are not paying taxes to Greece?
Why other EU-countries should take care of these missing taxes?

Also we can think what is more serious business and need more know how, building world largest cruisers and best ice-breakers or operate old ships under Vietnam flag?

I personally know very well few persons from Greece and they are working hard and have good working moral but this is not the issue...It is that no one in Greece like to pay taxes, also big corruption is major problem.
An this is reason for situation in Greece, you can not live for ever just taking more and loan.
