Plus my 2 cents worth on the refrigerators~ checked out a GE and a Samsung side by side in the store when I bought new in the spring~ every piece and every feature were EXACTLY the same. If they weren't made in the same place they were made with the same parts~ except for the nameplate. Also Whirlpool owns the Maytag name~ and moved the plant from Newton, Iowa to the Whirlpool plant in Mexico~ hard to believe no integration!
Off-topic again, I wouldnt own a GE if you paid me to.......all their parts are proprietary, you will pay twice as much for a GE part as any other brand.
As far as the Whirlpool/Maytag merger thing, they had no intent, and still dont, of merging the brands as far as parts, etc.
Info straight from the appliance reps(This is one of the very few areas in which I will say I have extensive knowledge, goes with the profession I am in)
You dinner sounds delish, btw!
Carry on, lol!

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll have to give these a try. I like the idea of a more nutritious pasta but haven't liked the actual experience yet

Tonight we had green chile stew and tortillas. I am still trying to figure out tomorrow because hubby is having rotator cuff surgery in the late afternoon and I'm sure we won't get home till after six. I don't know if he'll feel up to eating.

Next round of dinners are the following:

Crescent Bacon-Cheddar Pinwheels Recipe (NEW)
w/ salad

Corn & Sausage Chowder (NEW)
w/ salad

Slow Cooker Cheese Enchilada Stack Recipe (NEW) I will be making my own sauce that I listed in my last post and we will be having this with ground beef. My hubby has gotta have his meat :P
w/ avocado slices or tomato, whatever looks fresher!

The Queen B: Weekend Wonderfulness (Coconut Chicken)
w/ broccoli or green beans.

Italian Egg-Drop Soup
w/ crusty bread.

Included of course will be Thanksgiving. This is my first year doing my own Tday dinner ALL on my own! Eek! We elected to do ham this year. I will also be doing mashed potatoes, stuffing, and a green bean casserole. Wish me luck

Tonight will probably be order-in night but last night I made a wonderful Osso Bucco using a recipe that I found at allrecipes.com. I tweaked it some, and we could smell it from outside as it slowly cooked. I've always wanted to make one of those meals where you think 'oh man, wish I was eating there'. Finally!

You sold me. This is what I am making tonight. Thanks for the idea. This was the whole reason for this thread to begin with and sometimes it really helps out with good ideas!
