Have all sorts of recipes from the threads in August that I want to try but the past few weeks have been hectic and I expect the rest of the month. Don't worry . . . I 'm hanging on to all of them.

And in honor and memory of Miss Doo . . . Boo Book Kitty had Ocean White Fancy Feast Classic.
You are welcome. Mine was good too - just added extra spaghetti sauce then baked and added extra cheese. WE also had Cole's bread! Was very filling. Salad set it off perfectly.

Pan-fried breaded salt herring, almond potatoes and a cold sour cream sauce with chives, salt and a little black pepper. Very traditional Swedish dish. Simple and VERY delicious... actually, one of my favorite foods. I just LOVE fish in general, though!

We are having grilled steak and lots of grilled veggies plus I am making a green salad: basic oil and vinegar or lemon dressing for the king and I will enjoy my home made blue cheese dressing. Because we are skipping carbs I am sure we will each have an ice cream bar a little later.

My neighbor made a potato and cabbage gratin, and she made slow cooked pulled pork/chicken in her crockpot. She was kind enough to give us some so that's what we are having tonight. I am making rice too and not having the potatoes because I had some last night. I am also making saute'd escarole.
