Yes it is. My youngest son had left the Pentagon 10 hours before the crash. I was fit to be tied up in a straight jacket until he check in. I will never forget this date as long as I live. I wish we saw more of him. His favorite dinner when he comes home is cheesy spinach along with corned beef and cabbage. Those are 2 things he can't get his wife to fix and he always ask for them when home. While she is an excellent cook she has a much more limited culinary vocabulary than he was raised with.

Oh my goodness... talk about about luck...but Nomad I am betting that wait to hear from him was very hard as a parent. It makes me sick to just think about...

Debsi is today your birthday? If it is... Have a happy one... do something that makes you smile today...

My brother is coming home YIPPEE... I haven't seen him since April so I am happy. He is only 13 months younger than me... we are really close. My sister comes home tomorrow from Cali... haven't seen her in over a YEAR! I really miss her... Bro wants shopping advice today... can't keep me away from the mall- usually so I couldn't tell him no... I think there is a girl he is trying to impress (and I am all for that!)... going to a local IRISH PUB for dinner with Him, the 'Rents, My Kids, and Hubby too... I will put on a brave face and deal...Not going to let this headache stop me from enjoying my time with them! Now, tomorrow's golf game might not be a good idea but a trip to the mall and and Irish Pub I think I can manage LOL...the mall might even be some sort of therapy...LOL

After seeing some blueberries in a photo thread I'm voting for blueberry pancakes for dinner with a sausage patty. Now I still need one more vote to get this through the local house and into law but I will lobby my cause. Have a good day all.

May you cook those dishes for your son for many years to come..............

On my morning walk this AM the NY skyline, 7 years later, still looked horribly empty

Don't know if I'm going to have much of an appetite for dinner tonight.

Burdell-it is very hard to look and see that emptiness.

Prayers to the families, friends and those wonderful responders-the bravest of the brave.

My sympathies and coldolences to all who suffered and experienced loss on that terrible day, seven years ago.

Seven years later, and I still find it all hard to believe. God Bless America.

I've felt that every human being on the planet with the vaguest trace of morality in their being lost something on that day.

I can only hope that within our lifetimes we'll sit down to dinner in a peaceful world.
