A bit of crock pot roast beef, Russet potatoes & mashed sweet potatoes with gravy. Nondescript ale to drink. I just realized my lack of appetite for the past week has been due to not being able to taste anything... even ristretto is uneventful. My taste buds suddenly expired. What is that?

And, can someone tell me which cut of beef this is, with the bone in? Is that rib roast?
ETA: Oh, & is this the cut of beef that's prime rib?

I'd see a doctor about that. One commonly prescribed medicine that can cause permanent or temporary loss of smell (which effects taste of course) is Nasonex/Fluticasone sprays for allergies. I'll never use them again, I'd rather sniffle a bit sometimes. My sense of smell came back after I quit, luckily.

Thanks for letting me know, Debsi. That's gnarly. I don't take any drugs... I'm allergic to everything. Hopefully, it will end soon. No insurance & in-between jobs... I won't see a dr unless a bone is broken or I begin to spontaneously combust, like those stories we used to read as kids in the National Enquirer.

I'm not inspired and I'm tired, and to rhyme is crime....

Ok, I'm back.

Big 'ol salad with veggies and hard boiled egg, maybe I'll add some farro. Need to make a vinaigrette.
