Just a couple of nice salmon steaks on the grill, along with garlic and cheese mashed potatoes and sauteed boc choy. A simple but yummy dinner.

I have to work late tonight and it is too hot to cook - we are having chicken & bacon clubs with jalapeno mayo, shoestring fries, coleslaw and lemon drop martinis.

I've been having a craving for Buffalo Wings and buttermilk ranch. Since we're having a cold front with a high of only 98 today, it seems the day to turn on the oven.

I will make carrot and celery sticks too, or balsamic roasted broccoli. Fresh strawberries.

Good lord, Debsi. I would pass out from that kind of heat!

I've been hiding in my house nursing my Vitamin D deficiency and watching my garden wilt. This is the second hottest summer on record in hell, I mean Dallas.

When we were camping it was 103, which kinda made me appreciate coming home to 85 degrees, even with the 90% humidity.

Still on a veggie kick after traveling, so tonight will be some form of spicy chicken and veggie stirfry with rice for DH and without for me.

For dessert a protein milkshake.

When I lived in Charleston SC we would have temps like Debsi, up to 103 or so, more with heat index. I either stayed indoors in the ac or in the pool at the then townhome I lived in...

in the water, all the way up to my eyes, with a hat. Only way to be outside.

Anyway, topic...

Leftover Mexican quiche with jalapenos and green chillies
Green salad
More cantaloupe...
A small tortilla with chihuahua cheese and green salsa

Super humid and gross here but at least it is not 98°. So sorry Debsi.

Because of the humidity we are having curried tuna salad with lettuce, tomato and onions. I bought a loaf of pumpernickel rye swirl bread to serve the tuna on. I love that bread!

Going to make a side dish by roasting sweet potatoes, zucchini, red bell pepper, onions and rosemary, to have with leftover turkey burgers & sauteed mushrooms.
