I just spent a gorgeous weekend in Wilmington, North Carolina, and my friends and I couldn't believe how attractive the people were! The healthy and happy kind of beautiful.

Have you experienced something similar in your travels?

Outside of West L.A., Texas (and the south in general) has the most attractive women IMO. I even ended up marrying one Couldn't tell you on the where the most attractive men are, however, I think people look healthier in the PNW, Colorado and the Upper Midwest.

I can only comment from watching sporting events and the little bit of travel I do in the united states but I would say Texas and LA have some amazing looking women at the rangers and dodgers games, especially alot of hispanic and occasionally asian women. Florida and Arizona are up there i am sure., anywhere there is sun seems to attract attractive people

LA, Miami , and Charleston SC and southern cities always seem inevitably to end up on these lists

common use photo from dailymail article of best looking cities http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ng-people.html

In my travels, I've found no region or state has a lock on the most beautiful men or women. Movies and TV have taught us that, lol. Really! But I guess one can be surprised when a stereotype is broken; not saying that that was the case with you........ By the way, I have an aunt and 2nd cousin in Wilmington and, yes, they are beautiful, lol.

The southeastern states seem to have valued beauty for decades. They breed for good looks, especially in more established areas of the Carolinas and certain parts of Virginia. I don't know how this came about in their culture, but even during the Antebellum years it was noted that the South had plenty of beautiful white women, unlike the northern states. I think a lot of it is due to the agricultural setting in the South vs the industrial setting of northern cities. Even in the Midwest, I notice that its usually the farm kids in the rural areas that are pretty. The more blue collar types closer to the city are usually unattractive, with bad skin and all sorts of health problems.

Awesome, I predicted subconsciously racially biased replies and got deleted for racism

Anyway I predicted that most of the cities listed will be those with small black populations and lots of outdoorsy yuppies like Denver, Austin and Seattle, as well as cities with large beautiful people industries like New York, LA, and Miami.

A few years ago travel and leisure magazine had its readers do a survey of what cities have the most beautiful in the least attractive people, and five of the 10 least attractive cities were majority or plurality black. Too many people have far too narrow concepts of what is and isn't beautiful.

And a different person can visit the same city and come away with a different opinion. Perhaps you caught a day when all the good looking people were out and about. I'm prior military and I have seen good looking people everywhere I was stationed.

Most attractive: LA and NYC

Least attractive: Pacific NW

Of course, this is all subjective, and I'm basing it really only on females.
