There is no specific “east coast culture” … NYC is different from Miami, which is different from Boston, which is different than Philly … but I would say places like NH, VT & RI are pretty similar
The cities in the Northeast are not uniform, no more than the Bay Area, LA or SD are.
Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Louisville, Nashville, Memphis, Richmond, Hampton Roads-Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah, etc.. are no more architecturally, culturally & economically diverse than the Bos-Wash corridor.

Part of the Bos-Wash corridor includes southern cities which adds to the architectural, cultural & economic diversity. You also didn't mention places like SoFlo, New Orleans.
