How can New York have an inferiority complex? It is clearly the most populated city in the country and the most popular American city worldwide. Even worse is that 9 delusional people voted for NY. Could one of you nine please inform me when NY got an inferiority complex?

I assume you realize by saying that you're just proving the point that everyone has been trying to make...

Furthermore, is there some law that says, if you are from Philly, you have to preface every third sentence with "I'm from Philly, and..."? A number of people I went to school with and worked with over the years felt compelled to say this whenever any old topic of discussion popped up. A great friend of mine used to do this all the time... before he moved back to Philly!

It was always the same thing. They were from Philly, and this is how they do things in Philly. They were from Philly, and this is what they ate for lunch in Philly. They were from Philly, and there was no traffic like Philly's. They were from Philly and this is what they say in Philly. They had been transferred to [wherever it was I was living] and they couldn't wait to get back to Philly. Philly, Philly, Philly. As if saying Philly added some sort of legitimacy to whatever it was they were trying to say.

To this day, I cringe when anyone says "I'm from Philly", expecting it to be a lesson in why being from Philly is relevant to all things. It rubs me the wrong way. I want to say "Yeah, well I'm from Chicago, and I don't give a flying [censored]!"
well in philly we usually......

juuuuuuuust kidding

that would annoy the hell out of me too..

But I know that people in Houston don't really care about what others think of Houston, they are too busy at work making money and having fun.
