The top 5% of households earn an annual income of $214,462 or higher, according to the Census Bureau. That’s nearly four times the 2015 nationwide median household income of $56,516. The average income among those in the top 5% climbed to $350,870. Overall, this group lays claim to a 22.1% share of total household income in the U.S. Source:
To be certified as a one-percenter, you’ll need to bring in even more income each year. According to statistical data from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the top 1% had an adjusted gross income of $465,626 or higher for the 2014 tax year. The Washington Center for Equitable Growth put the average household income for this group at $1,260,508 for 2014.
If you want to cross the top 10% mark, you’ll still need a six-figure income but the numbers aren’t quite as high.
The IRS sets the adjusted gross income cutoff required to be in the 10% group at $133,445 , based on 2014 tax data. Once again, the average household income for the top 10% of earners is higher, at $295,845...."
200k puts you very close to the top 5% and probably higher than top 5% in Georgia. If you can't make it on that, you need to re-think your spending. Median is in the 50s, so she is making nearly 4 times what half of America lives on. And while she may be helping her family, she does not have children, which is a major expense for many of those making 50k.

No one is proposing any of that, it’s totally irrelevant to this race. I also have to point out that the most successful companies are in states with “high” taxes (NY and CA).

Neither is a good choice which makes it so funny that people are cheerleading for one or the other as some sort of 'savior'. They both will mess things up just in different ways.
The whole atmosphere and media circus really tends to discourage any good people from running for political office. We tend to get people like Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Gary Johnson. I don't know how we fix that.

People are leaving California, NJ, and NY for states like Texas, Florida, Nevada, and Tennessee. Plenty of articles on the internet discussing why. How do you think Abrams is going to pay for expanding all the stuff she wants to? It has to come from somewhere. I will let you guess where.

The thing is, there's a big gap between where Georgia is now and becoming a "high tax" state like California or NJ. It's ridiculous that anytime there is an idea to raise the tax rate a tiny bit, people try to pull out the "California bogeyman" and start saying we will be the next overtqxed state. It just isn't true. The reality is, there are a number of things Georgia could offer it's citizens that it does not due to lack of tax funding. Raising taxes a tiny bit to provide huge benefits to residents is not going to destroy the state and it's not going to put us in the bracket of NJ or CA, but it will allow is to start to compete with some of those states on quality of life. There is a reason most southern states reguarly rank last on happiness and quality of life, and it's because we have governments that do everything they can to let businesses and wealthy people keep as much money as possible, at the detriment of the population as a whole.

Bingo Cali and Boswash are so populated it's sort of irrelevant if they're growing or not.
NY is 20,320,876, And LA is 13,310,447..... So the question become If companies hate Blue states and look Red states why is NY still the center of American finance? why did the Silicon Valley happen in Cali?
If you also look at Since NC, FL and Virginia are Purple TX, and GA, are only red states attracting a lot of attention, "with AZ" have over 100k growths annually and are among the states with the largest GDP........ Other states like SC, OK and TN have growth but don't have cities on a tier to compare them economically with Seattle, Minneapolis and etc cities in blue states. Basically TX and GA are the only red states with cities with a GDP large enough you can. In fact TX, GA, and AZ are the only red states non swing state that even have a metro over 4 million.
Something I notice awhile ago, Texas, and South Atlantic states (FL, GA, VA, Carolinias) are sort of carry The South. So there bit of distortion when talking about Red states, Besides TN Most of the middle states AL, LA, AR, MS. KY, WY are growing slow.
So actually the South Atlantic and TX are the outliers. So what does TX, GA, FL and NC have that AL, LA, AR, MS. KY, WY don't? They have large Blue cities despite being in Red states.
The Truth is companies want it both ways they like low taxes and low regulation, but they also want Government to fund infrastructure, and etc which require taxes. They also they prefer a more cosmopolitan atmosphere cause there bottom line is money they want that no matter your race, religion, gender, sexual preference. So discrimination and hateful policies is a problem to companies.

This is pretty scary. I wouldn't be surprised if tampering hadn't already happened in these one party blue cities. Chicago and New York have long histories of voter fraud.
"As concerns about the security of the United States' elections continue to rise, Florida just underwent a disheartening test of their electronic voting.
During a hacking convention, DEFCON 26, an 11-year-old was able to hack into Florida's voting system and change the results of the election.
The DEFCON organizers set up 13 websites modeled after the sites in swing states, like Florida. They recruited 39 children between ages 6 and 17 to participate in the “DEFCON Voting Machine Hacking Village.”
The kids were tasked with changing the party names, candidate names, and the total votes candidates received.
The challenge took 11-year-old, Emmett Brewer, less than ten minutes to complete on the model of Florida's website.
Candidate names were swapped out with names like “Bob da Builder” and “Kim Jong Un” by other middle school hackers. One kid changed the vote totals to impossible numbers given Florida's population, including 12 billion.
All of these hacks were completed after only receiving an “introductory walkthrough” of the underlying source code...."

I honestly can't believe the way you speak and try to spread misinformation. The purpose of this is to show how easy our election systems can be hacked. It is Republicans who have been the primary benefit of this - the FBI is literally investigating whether or not Russians hacked our national elections. Our own republican secretary of state possibly allowed our elections to be hacked then destroyed the records. And nationally, DEMOCRATS tried to secure millions in funding to protect our elections from hacking and every single Republican voted against it. Yet you come on here and immediately point the finger at "blue cities" as to why you're afraid of potential hacking?

Nobody is investigating if voting machines or the electoral college were compromised in the 2016 election. Talk about Fake News. It was determined a long time ago that it wasn't compromised. You realize many of the machines are not even 'online' so there is nothing to hack into. The only thing that was hacked was the DNC server because they had such loose security and John Podesta was dumb enough to fall for an email phishing scam so his password to his email was hacked.
