My 10 year old daughter brought up the thought that women make less money then men do. I asked her where she heard that from. She said her teacher told her that women make less money then men. In fact she had figures showing that women make $0.77 for every $1.00 you pay a man.

I informed my daughter that those numbers were not real numbers. When it comes to two people doing the same job with the same experience and time on the job then both men and women make the same.
Unfortunately, this isn't true much of the time. That's what all the fuss is about. Men tend to get paid more, even if they have LESS experience than a woman doing the same job in the next cubicle, because it's still considered that men are the primary breadwinners (overlooking all the struggling single moms), so they "deserve" or "need" higher pay. Or their career trajectories are more important, somehow. And studies have shown that even when women negotiated for their raises, they still get less than men's raises. They're taken less seriously.

If President Obama's proposal for transparency in pay in the workplace had been adopted, this situation would have been revealed and remedied pretty quickly.

Actually the plurality of burglars are white; I don't know if they make up the majority but they make up the largest percentage.

Here it says white are 67% but take in mind slightly less than half of that is Hispanic.

Simple enough. The PC position at most schools of higher re-education is that men, especially White men, are evil and everything necessary to know about them is covered in women's studies . Any questions?

Another bitter supposition on this topic. Anyone care to comment on this who doesn't have a chip on their shoulder.

My takeaway from that table is that white people need to stop the drinking and driving

Supposition? Have you been on a campus lately? No chip, just too pithy for you, perhaps.

BTW , you asked a. Question. A question mark was required. Again, not supposition.

All in good natured ribbing!

There is no Hispanic column in the table you shared - how did you calculate a percentage for Hispanic?

Your comment is exactly why there are women studies.

The problem with woman's studies, they are not something that will lead to lifetime career to support yourself. News item on Woman's studies.
