A small number of rogue police officers are targeting undocumented immigrants in attempts to have them deported two days after House Bill 1804 went into effect, Tulsa Hispanic leaders said Friday.

Officers will always take the law into their own hands and cross the line, the Rev. Victor Orta said at a press conference.

Police officers recently pulled over a legal American Hispanic while he was driving with his girlfriend and later arrested him because he couldn't prove his identity, Orta said.

And the problem with that is?

ROFL

I did not have to serve in the military to realize we're not always angelic. Figured it out on my own.
Tell you what until you serve for this country, go to a war that we started, kill their people for oil, watch us belittle and act arrogantly in other countries lands.

I am not validating your opinion of my or anyones else's patriotism.

MOD CUT

*honors Mach50*

Here in California is where I live - born and raised. Not only have I never received a day off for Cesar Chavez day (don't believe such a thing even exists) I have never heard of anyone else getting this day off from school. Since when did Cesar Chavez or Cinco de Mayo become celebrations we observe in the US, or more specifically, in California or Texas? How can anyone compare MLK day, a national holiday, to these "so-called" days off? The reason all schools observe Veteran's Day is because it is a recognized holiday/day of observance, along with MLK.

You're going to have to name at least one school that you know of in CA that officially observes Chavez' birthday. And I am not talking about a faction of students ditching school to observe.

I believe it was a Hispanic heavy school out in the inner bay got the day off probably because they were going to walk out anyway.

My family and I look Hispanic, and are of Hispanic decent.
Yes even though I am an Irish Mexican Mix, my father has dark hair and dark eyes with pale skin, so I tend to look Hispanic (some even think I look Puerto Rican or Brazilian).

My wife however, resembles Selena (god bless her)...I am not lying

Off topic: Do they celebrate Selena Day in Texas?
