Yes, but, in the meantime those jobs need to get filled. The illegals are there not because employers are deliberately not hiring Americans or LPRs, but because those with work authorization don't want to work there. E-verify alone is not going to make Americans and LPRs want to work there, which is the reason why illegals are there. That beef and chicken you buy at the grocery store is not going to get processed and packed itself. It's all nice to start yelling E-Verify until we're blue in the face, but it's still not addressing the root cause of the problem
There is an organization called Southwest Key that, in their words, "Southwest Key has been the largest provider of services to unaccompanied children in the United States for many years." They are opening a place here in Tucson to house some illegal alien kids. According to a story on the local news, Southwest Key has made over $100 million in the past several years taking care of these illegals.
They are Hiring !!!

Now...can someone explain just why this company is allowed to remain in business? Aiding and abetting criminal acts is in itself a crime. The business should be shut down, assets seized (as drug assests are) and the owners prosecuted.

Simply being in the country illegally is not a criminal offense, it's a civil penalty
Amazing! This should be on every new station and twitter feed in the country with a single, unified message: fight back America!
It was shown on the Today show this morning. But of course they made it seem that the people had no compassion on the children, etc. Very left wing slant on the reporting.

To paraphrase Richard M. Nixon. Because when the government of the United states says it's Ok to break the law, it's not a crime.
The southern border is a ****ing joke. The only immigration reform I support is seasonal work permits for the illegals, then go back home once the season is up. Get them in the system, get them paying taxes, then send them back home.
The other way would be to raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour, reducing any negative impact illegals have an wages. Maybe then Americans would be willing to work in meat packing plants for more desirable wages. The illegals are here not because of some conspiracy to undercut the American lower class, but they are there because the American lower class does not want to work those jobs for pitiful pay
"The only immigration reform I support is seasonal work permits"
I agree. My old GFs family had migrant workers that would come in, work the fields for the season, then head back home at the end of the season. System worked great for all.
Really. The Grapes of Wrath was about displaced Americans during the Great Depression/ and Dust Bowl - a natural disaster.
I don't relate these illegal aliens to that at all.
Except traveling over desert terrain, their intent is not the same.
