What we need is immigration reform which includes securing the border but also paving the way for those already here for legal status of some kind i.e. legal resident or citizen. There is no way you are going to deport 11 million illegals.
That idea is not working -- that's exactly what has led to this crisis of thousands coming every day -- they're coming to get in on that big Obama amnesty.
There is no reason at all to give those who came here illegally some legal status -- at the very least leave them illegal --- but deportation does work. It's just not being done.

Okay -- but the welfare state has NOT been abolished -- not by any stretch so let's have no more idiotic talk of opening up the borders to all and handing all those who choose to break the law, legal status and citizenship until it is abolished.
Get rid of Medicaid, food stamps, WIC, housing vouchers, SSI, unemployment handouts and then we can talk about letting the entire 2 billion impoverished of the world come on in and take jobs from Americans.
We will become segregated once again with whites, blacks, hispanic, Middle Eastern and Asian. We will become like Iraq with in fighting of "tribes" and I believe we will once again belong to tribes. We will be fighting among ourselves over laws and the culture clashes that will happen. Ethnic groups will try to gain political power and use that power to push that ethnic groups agenda. Ethnic groups will "stick together" and we will look like the Game of THrones.

Yeah, I know it hasn't and I have plainly stated that open borders CAN NOT work in a welfare state, the answer is ending the welfare state and opening the borders.
The welfare state needs abolished anyway, it is just as wrong to rob Peter to pay Paul as it is to rob Peter to pay Juan.
