Its not always about skin tone half of the time Spanish( Spain) people look different from Scottish whites by their features.
Yes but then what about the Mexicans that are of pure German ancestry? They would be "hispanics" since they come from Mexico, are Mexican citizens and usually speak Spanish in addition to German. I think they would be "white-hispanics" every bit as much as those with pure French or Spanish ancestry.
Race isn't about ethnicity. Races combine a large number of ethncities, just like "black" or Negroid can be any number of ethnicties all with different features, and "asian" or Oriental are many different ethnicties. Caucasian is just that also. You can sometimes tell an Ethiopian from a Kenyan, or a Japanese from a Vietnamese or a Scot from an Italian.
But -- even within the same family of full siblings, there can be a whole variety of different features -- and skin tones.
It's funny how the Spanish have all the same bones the French have. They got the Celtic bones, the Phoenician Bones, the Rome Bones, the Greek Bones, the only thing that makes em different is that the Spanish got the Moor Bones. What about Portuguese Bones? Why do alot of them have different lookin bones? I heard it was because they got more of those Celtic Bones. I would like more info on the bones please.
Although in all fairness: the word 'political' is more accurate.
Why I say that is there are many 'Anglos' with Spanish surnames from countries like Great Britain, Italy, France, Australia, etc.----------let alone Blacks and Asians (especially Filipinos).
OTOH: many 'Hispanics' (people from Latin America) do have non Spanish last names as well.
Your comment is completely irrelevant, when it comes to cultural differences, you don't even need to look outside a trailer park to look for
different cultures; for example someone's experince may involve dental hygine while others not. Surnames have nothing to do with culture. Culture has to do more with experiences...

Basically: when it gets right down to it; most illegal aliens from Mexico/Central America are indeed comparable to stereotypical PW Trash trailer park hillbillies in their social mores (or the lack thereof).
Felipe Fernandez-Arnesto is an Englishman, born and raised in London. He is definitely not Hispanic despite his name and ancestral lineage.
Also UK Tory politician Michael Portillo.
