Indiians killed each other over women and horses.
Explanations meant nothing to them.

None of which is relevant since we are now a sovereign nation along with Mexico, etc.

I do not break laws but laws are imperfect and fallible.
You did the right thing within your opportunity and circumstance- that is all.
One's race or circumstance of birth does not make one a lawbreaker. You
are judging his morality as God would and not his character..... and
of course you are not the Almighty.
The kid did nothing except be gifted beyond mmost.
Irrelevant. We are a sovereign nation who has the right to secure its borders and; if you are going to drag God through this, any illegal alien is flagrantly violating one or more of the Ten Commandments. Besides; try saying that crap in Mexico.

Default Of course they were illegal,

The immigration quotas that were in place were illegal. Totally illegal.
Only selected groups were allowed in as immigrants.
And.......only the great master politician LBJ changed these completely.
He was outrageous and wonderful at the same time but most of all -fair
to all.
Native born Americans term is an oxymoron.

On what basis is immigration quotas illegal? They aren't illegal.

So what?

We have the right to determine whom we let in. Face it: the USA is still a desirable destination so we can pick and choose. If Mexico or any other country takes offence-------------tough!.

Besides; I am a native born American so using your logic, a native born Mexican national is also an oxymoron.

Default They do not,

[
They buy them, and old Henry Ford made sure they could do this
and everyone could. THis idea was revolutionary and changed
the middle class of the u.s. forever.
Immigrants, irrelevant of social status, have made this country.
Forged the manufacturing base into a world power for this country.
If you don't recognize this, that is all right.

Furthermore, workers “make†cars, but that doesn’t entitle them to drive them home.[/QUQUOTE=Benicar;11486918]Please expound on how illegals “made†this country. OTE]

Default They already are.

Like the passive resistance that Ghandi and King did against blatant discrimination their mere presence is a force to be reckoned with.
The marches, sit ins at luch counters etc. all were illegal.
They were all unjust laws. So they were broken.
Worst of all was the denial of the vote to blacks.

Why do you want to expand on that gap? The law clearly states that if someone is here illegally they should be detained, deported, and a banned from entering the US for a period of time. If you do not like that work to change it, but the law is the law and it needs to be enforced no matter who the offender is...whether they are a Harvard man or a day laborer equality before the law is what our legal system is based on and to say that this guy should receive special treatment because he was "the top of his class in high school and being smart enough to get into Harvard." undermines the fundamental basis of our justice system.

Please check your history:

Both King and Ghandi help turn public opinion against Jim Crow and British domination.

Flip side here: those illegal iimmigrants' rights' marches here in May 2006 enraged many Americans and turned us against any sort of amnesty for illegal aliens. As it is; the hostility is growing agaist illegals as we speak.

Correct there are no true Mexicans either. We All are foreign species to the continent and not indegenous as are feral pigs and english sparrrows.
Invasive species all of us.
Even political borders are man made. This is not to say that I believe
we should have an open border.
The two great moral stains on the character of this country are slavery
and the genocide of the Indian. We are not to blame ourselves you see,
but wrongs are still being perpetuated today, this very day.
The Indians are coming back one by one is all it is. One cannot completely
eradicate an indigenous species by leaving some of them, all must be exterminated. THis was not done. The political line drawn to the south means
a lot to the ones who live by their own laws only. Of course.
Morality, mores , deem a good honest life worthy of admiration
under the laws of God. The laws of man are not always right.
Maury Maverick looks down with pride, I am sure of it.
Goodbye Good Government League, hello today. The world is moving to the left, go with it or be crushed by it (LBJ).

Default Yes your right,

What can we, how can we stop it?
The rising taxes of Texans is ridiculous. As long as people keep hiring
undocumented workers there will be an open market for labor here.
Business people love this system, just pay them cash and no taxes,s.s.#,
no workmans comp, nothing. Farmers the same way. America needs them somtimes.
Greed is behind it though.
