We WILL speek Spanish Things are changing,and , its too late to stop it. Regardless how we feel about whats right , and the fact that the Government has looked the other way for so long,I think the cat is out of the bag. They are here , they won't go back , they will demand equal rights , regardless of legal or illegal status. They will get public health care at taxpayers expense. Its the wave of the future. This country is changing, you might as well except the facts. Spanish WILL become the first language in many areas, and all signs, tests, printed matter , as well as teaching in schools will be more and more in Spanish, thats the way it it is , and will be for a long time.
If you don't like it , or can't handle it , move to a state or area , that has very few migratory workers . The Latin people's are fast out pacing any other group, they are going to keep coming at a higher rate then ever before. No one or no group will be able to stop them. Remember , this is not a race issue, its an economic one.
It would be simple to say we could just give them back the SW that they lost in 1848, I would be all for that, but , they have integrated sociality all over the country.
This country will become part of the new North American Union, Canada , United States , and Mexico, the borders will become but a stopping off place for signing in. What this all means is we here in the US will be investing in Mexico even more than all the money the illegals send back now. Might as well , cut a check , and earmark it for aid to Mexico now , cause ether way, our Government will spend and send it for you ! Welcome to the 21st Century, amigo......

Let's just get this straight as to who is inventing THEM and pitting one segment of the American population against another. Whether it's been liberals or secular humanists or gays or immigrants or even the educated, this demonize-and-attack mode and strategy has all been spawned within the fundie-dominated political right-wing. It is there you will find the preachers of hatred and division. It is there that you will find the demagogues and authoritarians for whom this type of manipulation is standard operating procedure.

I don't see why the government cannot be sued as you said in previous post.
That would be because neither of you has ever looked into the concept of sovereign immunity or the Federal Torts Claim Act of 1946. For further background on the matter, see Downs v. US [1975] and Wyler v. Korean Air Lines [1991].
Try as I may have to not personalize the debate (please note the pronouns reflected divisive exclusionary thinking of La Raza, not anything aimed at specific posters, all of whom are welcome to his or her opinions) I guess I'll have to simplify for purposes of true discourse.
Why do you want law-breakers be rewarded? Why do want U.S. laws to be suspended for only one group of immigrants from one destination? Personally , I do not condone any illegal activity that has been supported by our government...........Everything will work itself out, at some point, however , I take offense, that my tax dollars are going to make the problem worse , instead of controlling our borders, from all sorts of folks trying to get under the radar. What ever happened to homeland security ! ? Thats a joke, as well as most all of the current administration, goes to show whos pocket they are being fed from........... vote , yes , VOTE EM OUT , so we can just get some more just like them, whoever, them is....
Living in CA, illegals and others out of amnesty group are making life very fearful when driving, shopping, watching news reports, or actually threatened by usual gang mentality types, including physical attacks! There is a dramatic rise in violence, shootings/killings in L.A., even nice areas, against whites and blacks and hispanics. Many people are afraid to even go out of their bar covered windowed homes in many cities, and they do not dare report to police violence they see. Gangs control neighborhoods.

You are correct on this. We had enough and sold our home in CA. We had lived in a nice area. The last few years we were seeing more and more trash on the streets. More and more grafitti and the parking lots in the shopping areas had more gangs hanging around. Fights, thefts and burglery was on the fast track. Kids getting beat up for no reason when walking home from school.
