I just received a phone call from a friend of mine who told me he watched a news report stating that Arizona's illegal immigrants are fleeing in waves to Colorado.

I can't find anything to support this, but it could have just been a one off story since I've seen things on the television news in the past that I later could not locate online.

Has anyone heard anything about this, and if so, what areas are the illegals infiltrating?

Sounds like unfounded hysteria but you might want to check under your bed or in your closet just to be sure. In the '50s the commies hid out in those places. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Don't know about "waves", but illegals are leaving AZ, they are also registering their US born children as dual citizens in Mexico, just in case the parents are deported....they would be able to return to Mexico as a family unit.

this is probably the news report to which you refer (cbs evening news):

Immigrant Families Leave Arizona, Fearing Law - CBS Evening News - CBS News

note it doesn't say anything about "waves" of "illegal immigrants" "fleeing to colorado". it specifically mentions one family leaving AZ and coming to CO.

I might also point out that terms like "waves" can be construed as less that favorable at best and racist at worst.

Don't invasions come with armed forces? What a ridiculous term to use.

A friend who was recently in a traffic accident hit a couple of undocumented Mexicans who ran a red light, had no insurance, and no drivers licenses. Do you think there's even a tiny chance of her managing to get them to pay for the damage to her car?

Welcome to the world of living with people who have no respect for our laws...

How do you know they don't have respect for them? They probably would like to be able to get a license and insurance but can't because of their status. You can't have it both ways, either you let them get a license and inurance or you don't whine about it when they run into you. They're going to be here in any case whether folks like it or not. Believe me the government's not going to deport them in any major quantities. We need the labor.

Sometimes Americans drive without insurance and a drivers license too. In fact, I'll be most uninsured/unlicenced drivers on the roads are American citizens.

Because they didn't respect them.

That's irrelevant. They didn't have enough respect for our laws not to drive without them. Mexicans need to be held to the same standard in the US as Americans are held to in Mexico.

Again irrelevant. Either people respect laws or they dont.

That's exactly what we should be fighting against!

With 10% stated unemployment and closer to 20% actual unemployment we need the labor?!? Give me a break!
