And then the walk is 7 to 10 mins from the station and I got there right before 9am. Well on Wednesday I will be catching the 7:46am train for now on. I don't have to be there until 12pm on tuesdays and thursdays.

I will just take my chances on the days I have to be there at 8am because I'm not getting on no 6am train and waking up at 5am.

I'm confused about what chance you're taking. Taking the later train and being late for work?

As for the bolded, do you always sleep in? 5AM is late.

I would need more money to wake up at 5am. And I was saying that on the days I have to be there at 8am, I will be catching the 7:22am train and will just get there between 7:45am and 8am. No way in hell am I taking a 6:46am train to work.

What if you catch the 7:22am train and arrive a few minutes after 8am??? Seems that you will run into the exact same scenario you met up with this morning ...

Uh ... 5am is by no means "late" ... Frankly, it's an ungodly hour to be forced to be up but alas, I gotta do what I gotta do ....

Worst case scenario would be getting there 7:55am. On the way home of course the train ride was only 16 mins. But 'm thinking that I may just catch the subway on those 8am days

exactly, now if they want to up my salary by 5000 dollars then I think it's possible to get up at 5am.

And I just thought of something, they hunted me down and wanted me to work there so getting to work 5 mins before should be no issue as long as it's not AFTER 9am.

BTW: when i arrived a coworker arrived the same time as me and said-"i'm early"-LOL I was confused because it was in between 8:50am and 9am so I wasn't quite sure what she meant by early.

I will ask her tomorrow

How am I 13 years younger than you? Or better question yet, how are you 13 years older than me?

That is a very dangerous, and very stupid thought. If you think just because you were sought after, that makes it okay to slack off in any way, you will be in for a rude awakening.

Edit: At first I thought you wrote 5 minutes late. But still I wouldn't put that "since they hunted me down, I can...." thought in your head.

I had a old boss tell me as long as you are performing at a high level, I don't care what time you get here as long as you do your 8 hours.

Yeah but now you are in a new position with a new supervisor so the rules could very well be different... Not every supervisor is ok with their employees coming into work late ... I'd be extra cautious during these next few months while you go through your probationary period.
