And what do you expect when you go to Walmart at 2 in the morning? Most normal people are asleep.....lol.

Las Vegas is nice to live but it is not for me anymore.

Too much drugs. Too much Crime. Yes, many residents are addicted to Gambling and lose everything. I knew way to many people that lost everything and have commited suicide.

A whole subdivision has forclosure or for sale sales everywhere in many area. Everything is vacant.

Is Vegas still for you? Be very careful what you want. History always repeats itself. THe Vegas Boom will die eventually. The Casino have overdeveloped the city especially in a time of a near recession in the USA with super high gas prices.

3 Airlines flied for Bankruptcy last week along. ATA, Ahola, And Skybus.

Ford, GM, and Chrysler are laying off thousands yearly.

There will be no end in gas prices.

In 5 to 15 years from now, Lead Mead will be dried up.

Gas will be close to $10 a gallon in 5 to 15 years. If that is the case, Las Vegas tourism will be a doomtown. Massive amounts of people will move out especially in the energy crisis will no end.

I was on business traveling on the roads leading in and into Nevada last week, there was hundreds of cars stuck on the road within a time frame of 5 hours. THis is a result of people having no money and running out of gas going to and out of Las Vegas area to Las Angeles. This is reality.

Pay here is not that great. City is lots of fun only to visit but not to live here.

So this is the real situation of Las Vegas. 5 to 15 years from the now the whole town will start looking like a modern day Detroit. Nothing but vacant run down houses on every street.

So do yourself a flavor, go somewhere else and do not get suckered into Vegas Hollywood lifestyle. Most dreams fail here and most people lose everything. THe people who tough it out will soon see with super high gas prices will lead to a massive end to Las Vegas.

History always repeats itself.

right on the numbers...everything came true...truth sucks

We lived in Vegas for 8 years. Las Vegas wasn't the perfect place for us, but I really don't know where the perfect place is (I'll try to find it when I hit Lotto!:).

My family now lives on the west coast of Florida. Are there things we miss about Vegas...sure. Are there things we hate about where we now live...sure. I've come to realize that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Note we are native NY'ers. NY is one of the greatest cities in the country. But it wasn't perfect for us either, for a variety of personal reasons.

If money was the object of "where to live". Then why are there wealthy people in Las Vegas? These people choose to live here? There is no perfect city, but you will just have to take the good with the bad. Find your niche and just learn to appreciate what you have and not what you want.

I heard this morning on CNN that 1 out of 70 houses are getting forclosure notices in the Las Vegas Metro Area
thats scary.. in Albuquerque Metro Area its 1 out of 750, and thats still pretty scary ..now that we are the 2nd fastest growing city.

Isn't Vegas the most transient city in the first place? People come and go that's really not a concern in Vegas, it is a tough life.

A very good life for hustlers of all types in LV. Scams, pimps, drug dealers, real estate con men, sex business, medical fraud, etc, etc.

Meth is certainly a problem but is much smaller than say alcohol. Pot is the common drug among teenagers...not meth.

IN general in the US and Nevada meth use is declining.

I am aware of no data that Las Vegas is transient...though that is commonly reported. It just grows very fast. But mostly people come and stay.
