I haven't been able to test mine yet. We have a little snow and ice left but it's in shady areas and not where we normally walk. I hope it rains and snows and gets cold, just so I can test mine out.

Raining.
Dec 30 and it is raining.
The average temp for Bozeman for this date is 23.
It is after 6 pm and is 41 degrees right now.
I hope it's snow up on the mountain.

35 here right now on the eastern porch. You know I think many of us have been praying for the desperate men (and women) coming to work the oilfields, thank you Father for the mercy shown in this winter season. Maybe a few more will be settled into some type of housing before the real temps set in.

We will be having a wind event tomorrow so looks like 2011 will be going out with a big huff!

Coffee's on.

Got a surprise. When I got up at 5, I went outside and it was raining. Came in, made a pot of coffee, fixed some breakfast and at 7:30 I put on my coat and was going to go out and check my gauge so I could make my 8 am report to NOAA. Everything is white! hahaha Never even noticed the rain turn to snow. It's 33 degrees out. Wet heavy snow. If it keeps up, it's going to be interesting to plow in an hour or so.

How much did you guys get up in Bozeman? Seems that whatever you get, heads for my house.

I took a photo of the snow this morning, looking out my window toward the pink sunrise sky over the Bridgers. It's posted in the photo thread. This is more like what we are used to in winter for Bozeman!

It wasn't a deep snowfall as they can be here, but at least it covered all the brown melted patches and made the ground and trees nicely white again.

H.I.

Looks like about an inch of crunchy, icy snow pellets in town. Almost like sleet. Anxious to get into Hyalite canyon for some XC skiing and hoping it is a bit drier and lighter snow.

The view of the Tobacco Root's this morning is teal and pink. It looks like a painting.

Spectacular!
