Wind is blowing.

It's snowing.

Coffee's on. Poached eggs on toast are in the making.

Oooh, breakfast sounds good... poached eggs, mmmmmm! my favourite.

I look at the highway cams every day... I don't think I've seen a winter with such continuous snow cover all across MT since about 1982 or so!!

I think you're right Rez. I was talking to a neighbor the other day about the very same thing. So we went out behind the house and dug into the snow and found 4 layers of snow crust. We've had 5 significant snows this winter. So 4 of those are still on the ground.

Today it's snowing and blowing again. But the temp is 34 right now so it's kind of a freezing drizzle. When it hits you in the face it hurts. haha

Had eggs and a bagel this morning. I got some sweet onion and balsamic jelly for Christmas so I gave it a whirl- not bad on an everything bagel.. It would taste good on a pork roast too

Tried to go snowshoeing this afternoon but the roads are waaaay to slippery. We have a wet, slippery snow in Helena. I went downtown and the jeep slid sideways at a full stop towards a curb

Will try again tomorrow.

Default The ice dagger photos.

Our end of highway 200 is bare and dry.
We took our new ride on a shakedown cruise to Idaho today and we couldn't help from stopping at "the ice cycles" just west of Clark Fork.
The dang things were dropping one after another and cars kept coming so I couldn't linger in the roadway too long but I did get about twenty or so shots of these spring fed ice daggers.

Our Dog. ~♥~ Benny.
She loves laying about in the snow as long as it's not too cold.

0ur ride. ~♥~
I'm just happy to not have the ugliest rig in the county anymore.
The V-6 looks super easy to work on too. We are happy so far.

That's a spiffy-lookin' new rig there, all right. Can't hardly tell it ain't brand new. And it's from before the designs got stupid, too. Looks like a real vehicle, not an overgrown toy.

How big ARE those ice daggers? Looks like they could go right through your new roof. Don't be drivin' under 'em now, y'hear?!

I saw the weirdest vehicle the other day... kinda like a cross between a T-Bird convertible and a pickup truck, except it was a Chevy. I can't think what the name of it was, but the guy who owns it told me they only made a couple thousand of 'em.
