Do you want hate-crimes legislation to be enacted/enforced if (because of a possible majority vote) it actually goes against homosexuals?

Do you want it to be a WORSE crime to murder a heterosexual than a homosexual? Do you want terroristic threats against heterosexuals prosecuted more seriously than the same threats against homosexuals?

In other words, do you want equality, or preferential treatment?
The law doesn't make specifics about what races or sex or sexual orientation are. If a black attacked an asian for being asian, that would also be a hate crime. If a hot gay dude attacked an ugly straight guy for being straight that would also be a hate crime. You just do not get it, do you?

So then... If I run stop sign (presumably while eating a pork chop) and injure you in an accident, should I receive a much harsher penalty than if you run a stop sign and injure me in an accident?

No buddy, it's YOU that doesn't get it.

What you just said is that "crime is crime, period." And that's my point.

Call it what you will, BUT I also specifically said in the thread-starting post that this thread is about repealing the anti-gay marriage amendment and including sexual orientation and gender identity with all others already protected. Just because you don't consider yourself a hater, despite your hate towards homosexuality and homosexuals, doesn't mean your not a hater.

Are trying to call that a hate crime? You really need to go back to school. Maybe you should take some criminal justice courses and gay studies after retaking kindergarten.

And, once again, you show yourself to be a shameless liar. You REALLY need to spend some time in front of the mirror, bud. You are full of double standards, full of hatred, full of lies about what other people say or think.

Naw, see that is a misconception.... I personally don't care what other people eat.

I'd just hope you had insurance.

It HAS to be a hate crime! I'm not a vegan, and I hit a vegan with my car. It HAS to be a hate crime!

Right over the top of your head...

No I said a hate crime is a hate crime. I know you see my points and that I'm right, because you, sir are starting to get frantic! I love the learning process, don't you?

Exactly.

Let's prosecute crime as crime. Let's prosecute murder as murder. Let's seek to make justice as blind as is humanly possible. THAT is the point.

And yes, I'm fully insured - and the cost of it sucks!
