You go to Atlantic City and further on down it's Philly territory. I've been to Ocean City boardwalk they have magazines and flyers up all over the place, it's Philadelphia oriented around there. Didn't Nazz (Todd Rundgren's old band) have a song called Wildwood Blues? They were based in Philly I know.
LBI is the line of demarcation, almost 50/50 though to me a tad bit more North Jersey/NY - all points South are strongly South Jersey/Philly
Yes you are right the Nazz Todd Rudgren) is from Philly, Upper Darby to be exact.
Oddly "On the way to Cape May" is most famously by Bobby Darin from Brooklyn but Wildwood days is by Bobby Rydell who is from Philly
Common sense says you live in the best neighborhood with good schools as close as possible to your place of employment.
Save the long drives for leisure time activities, It's a no brainier.

I always thought On the Way to Cape May was by Al Alberts. His version is the only one I've ever heard. I always know it's summer when 98.3 starts playing it
I have to say, New Jersians do love their beaches. I vacationed on LBI for years, decades. This summer I vacationed with friends in Sea Isle and loved it! The beaches were clean, lovely and amenities were within walking distance.
Vacation wasn't at the beach last year, but we spent a couple of days last
September in Strathmere and I loved it there too.
Gerania, I'll be going down to Stone Harbor in late September to meet with a realtor. I've always wondered what the beach at Strathemere is like. From the map, it looks so much less congested than Sea Isle. Any particulars you liked specifically about the place?
