Does anyone know what the limit is on income and NOT have it effect the ammount of UI per check? I think someone referred to it being 20% of your gross weekly check. The reason I'm asking is that I'm enrolled in the work-study program at my college but I don't want it to hurt my UI eligibility. Any input is greatly appreciated.

This has nothing to do with the subject of this thread -- extensions to Unemployment Benefits.
You'd have a greater chance of getting an answer if you search the general forum on Work and Employment.
Hello,HERE'S A NUMBER FOR YOU, PLEASE CALL AND GET THE DISTRICT TELEPHONE NUMBER IN YOUR AREA. Christopher Smith in Washington DC... 202-224-3121 he picked up the phone right away, let him know you need help with your unemployment, he will then give you the number to your District Office in your area, they will pick up right away. Hope this helps, remember, these guys making these decisions need your vote, so call them.I don't know if anyone remember back in 91 when Father Bush was in office, and he was on vacation, people started screaming about the fact he was on vacation and unemployment wasn't extended etc.. it took no time at all to extend it. It's the voice of the people, you ARE the people, flood the phone lines, tell your friends who are on EB to flood the phone lines, then you'll get the results you want.
Wow I'm so glad I found this thread, now I know I'm not alone. I claim my last check tomorrow and I'm terrified! There's no jobs to be found anywhere. Searching for work has become a job in itself. I sure hope they can extend our benefits. I was laid off after working 19 years at my job, 6 more years and I could have retired! I can't believe this is happening, what a horrible situation we're all in. I'll do what I can too. Thanks for that number, Cheweetina, and every one else too, your posts have been very helpful to me.
and when the congress going too talk about new EXtension??
they said after lobar Day!!
we have hard time!!
There is unlikely to be any news until after the Congress reconvenes on Tuesday, September 8. And even at that point, we have no way of knowing where this issue is on their agenda or how soon they will address it.
