I've always wondered how "ghetto" (in comparison to the South Bronx) is Bedford-Stuyvesant and are there parts gentrifying, or that will probably sometime in the future?
Also I second G-Dale in that Woodhaven Boulevard is really busy all the time, which decreases chances of anything slimey happening. I think the Boulevard itself can be uncolored all the way through

That's including Jamaica, Atlantic, Rockaway, Liberty, Pitkin ave, etc... Do you live in NYC... Granted that area isn't on par with its neighbors but I think orange is a reasonable shading... I worked over there two years ago and a lot of trinitarios had moved in around there between Jamaica and atlantic on the blvd. You'd see the apartment buildings tagged up with gang signs from both kings and trinis and Neta used to have a couple of chapters over there years ago as well... My cousin who lives on 78th got jumped by two bloods by woodhaven and Jamaica also and they broke his nose for an ipod... Random occurences, but I wouldn't consider that area completely safe for the most inexperienced of tourists which is what a non-shading would indicate
Any parts in particular? (Street boundaries, even if it ends up being the entire neighborhood).
I am not familiar with the entire area, but I have been on Midwood st between Flatbush - Nostrand many times at weird hours and never felt unsafe. Even Flatbush in that area I've never felt unsafe. (vs parts of Harlem where I have been harassed/felt unsafe at all hours)

The boulevard itself is extremely busy, now the side streets on Atlantic and Pitkin I'd be worried about

The only time I've had trouble on woodhaven blvd was when I got robbed for my bike when I was a little kid. That was by union tpke and decades ago. Because of my one incident I wouldn't consider it a shaded area, but I guess times change. I've been taking the woodhaven J stop for a long time and never noticed any trouble before. I have seen kings around there in the past, but just standing there. Although I'm sure they don't usually cause trouble in plain site.

I have to disagree with changing the colors for PLG. I have fam out there so I'm out there constantly and personally, I never feel unsafe but objectively, it definitely has enough hood elements to make it orange.
