Took me 2hrs to drive into mid-town from the South Bronx. Buses were running but they were jam packed, if I have to be stuck in traffic, better it be in my own car than on a bus with someone hanging all over me, I don't see the trains running again for at least 7days..
Thanks for the info, I was thinking about driving, but this is a no go.

I have no choice in the matter. The BF wants to walk home from Manhattan at night, and I'll be damned if I let him. There's looting going on and the traffic lights out below 39th St. I would much rather take 2 hours to drive there to get him than have him risk anything.
Agreed. I'd rather use my limited resources trying to get a ride for someone who needs dialysis or a chemo treatment over someone who is having a pity party over losing two days work because they refuse to walk a few miles to where they can catch a bus. Some people have no idea how good they have it.
Long lines at the Q32 bus stop in Jackson Heights, Queens (near the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street subway station). The buses are so crowded that the buses are not stopping to pick them up.
It took one NBC employee 2 hours to drive from Harlem to Rockefeller Center this morning (Wednesday).
